Shape this journey Example route Days 1–3 Arrive in Kasane and collect your fully kitted, camp-ready 4x4 vehicle. Stock up on groceries before heading to Senyati Safari Camp, where you can watch elephants from an underground bunker and add a sunset cruise or tigerfish boat trip on the Chobe River.
Days 4–7 Depart Kasane and drive to Chobe National Park, where you will spend the next three nights in an unfenced camp in or near the park. Enjoy sunsets over the Chobe River and the excitement of animals moving freely around camp.
Days 5–6 Travel south towards Savuti, renowned for its lion and hyena populations. Game moves freely through the camp, and it is not unusual to wake to the sound of lions nearby.
Days 6–9 Depart Savuti and head towards Khwai, where you will spend lazy days beside the Khwai River watching hippos defend their territory and elephants move slowly through the water, with the chance of a leopard passing through camp.
Days 7–10 Spend three nights in the Okavango Delta at either Third Bridge or Xakanaxa, known for exceptional birding and game passing close to camp. Take a mokoro or boat ride through the Delta’s beautiful channels.
Days 11–12 Head south to Maun to restock groceries, sleep in a hotel and enjoy the option of a scenic helicopter or small-aircraft flight over the Okavango Delta.
Days 13–15 Drive west to Nxai National Park, where you will camp among magnificent baobabs and salt pans.
Days 16–18 Travel north towards Kasane, stopping at Elephant Sands for two nights beside a natural waterhole where large numbers of elephants regularly gather to drink.
Day 19 After breakfast, pack up and travel back to Kasane for your flight home or your next adventure.
